LATE KATHLEEN LACEY
The death occurred peacefully at her home on June 22 of Kathleen Lacey, (nee Brennan) (Clopook Cross, Luggacurren, Stradbally, Co. Laois). Kathleen, pre-deceased by her husband Pake, deeply regretted by her sons Jerry and Raymond, daughters Olive and Pauline, brother Andy, sister Margaret, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Her remains were reposing at her home on Saturday and removed at 6.30pm to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Luggacurren and following requiem mass on Sunday at 12.30pm, her remains were interred in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams.
LATE PATRICK (PADDY) DILLON
The death occurred at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on Saturday, June 23 of Patrick (Paddy) Dillon, Charter Road, Stradbally. His remains were reposing at his home until removal on Tuesday morning for 12 noon requiem mass following which his remains were interred in Oakvale Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Helan, son Alan, daughter Sarah, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and extended family to whom we tender our deepest sympathy.
STRADBALLY FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB ANNUAL OUTING
Annual outing of the Stradbally Flower and Garden Club is on Saturday, June 30 to The Altamiont Gardens in Tullow with guided tour of the Walled in Garden then on to Nicholas Mosse Pottery, Kilkenny Castle and winding up the day with a three course meal in River Court Hotel Kilkenny. Stradbally ICA summer draw takes place on our monthly meeting on July 3 in St Patrick’s Hall. First prize €200, second prize hamper, third prize €75, fourth prize hamper and fifth prize €25. Tickets are only €2 each or book of 3 for €5. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

STRADBALLY CHERNOBYL NEWS
The Stradbally Chernobyl Group wish to thank everyone who gave so generously to the recent annual church gate collection. Amount raised €726. All of this money goes towards paying for the children’s air fares. On Sunday, June 24, 18 children arrived from Belarus to the area to stay with host families for one months rest and recuperation. The group would like to thank everyone who has given support and donations throughout the year.

Stradbally Family Fair will be held at The Lawn on Sunday, July 1.

SUMMER ART WORKSHOPS
Fun, creative art and craft workshops for childred aged between 6-12 years old, run by professional artists at the Arthouse and Library, Stradbally during the month of July.
