The Team Hope Children’s Shoebox Appeal is underway around the country. Completed shoeboxes can be dropped off in Mountmellick at the library or the post office. LIAM LAWTON CONCERT
The parishes of Clonaslee, Killeigh, Mountmellick & Rosenallis (Barrow Rise Pastoral Area) welcome Fr Liam Lawton in concert on Friday November 15 at 8pm (doors open 7.30pm) in the Community Arts Centre. As a special event to close the Year of Faith the concert will include a choir from all four parishes. Tickets (€20) from Mountmellick parish office 057 8624390.
There will be a Halloween fancy dress disco on Thursday October 31 in the Owenass hall from 7pm to 9pm for children up to 12 years, under 6’s must be accompanied by a parent. Admission €3 per child, shop will be available. Prizes for best fancy dress and dancers. All welcome, strict supervision.
ST PAUL’S SALE
The annual sale is on Saturday November 9 from 10.30am to 1pm in the old school Pearse St. All the usual stalls present, teas served and a raffle will be held. All support appreciated.

KNITTING AND STITCHING SHOW
Mountmellick ICA is travelling by bus to the Knitting and Stitching show in the RDS on Saturday November 2. All greatly enjoyed last year’s event. There are few places still available on the bus. Contact Dolores on 0862664716 or any committee member for details.

The annual Mission Alive table quiz is on Thursday December 5 in the Druid Bar (note change of venue & day). All proceeds to the Orphan Project in Lusaka in Zambia.
