Clonaslee Show Society is hosting a table quiz on Friday May 30 at 9:30 pm in Swans Bar. Come join the craic. Fantastic raffle prizes. Table of 4 - €20.
Circuit training is now on Saturdays in the Community Centre from 10 – 11 am. This training is suitable for male or females and caters for all levels of fitness, from beginners to the advances. Cost is €7 and all welcome to join in.
Thank you to Neil, Catherine, Michael and John from St Patrick’s Community for our Parish Mission and the wonderful, spirit filled week. Many people attended each night and we thank you for making the effort to make this week a great success.
Judging for the litter challenge is starting. We appeal to all business people to sweep at night or early in the morning. One butt on the sidewalks and Clonaslee is gone. Last year we were knocked out on the first round. Thank you for your support.

On Friday May 16 Castlecuffe NS held a Travel Action Day to raise awareness of the work they are doing towards their fourth Green Flag. Every student in the school dressed up in travel themed costume and there were many prize winners in each classroom. There was a Green Code Competition, a The Travel Game, students participated in travel lessons, completed a travel survey and went on a nature walk in Brittas Wood. The day was a huge success thanks to the huge effort made by all the students and teachers. Congratulations to Seán O Shea on his winning Green Code entry. ‘Park and Stride’ Save our planet, Park and Stride, or use your bike. Park and Stride along the way, get fresh air to start the day. Wear your high vis to be seen, And earn your school another green.
New opening hours for the Heritage Centre are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and closed on Friday. The library will be open during those hours.
Work evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at the Heritage Centre at 6 pm each week so if anyone has an hour to spare please come along. There is a lot to be done before June 1 when judging starts.
Clonaslee Parish will be joining the Kildare and Leighlin Pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday June 1. The bus will leave the Post Office at 8:30 am. There is one seat left, please contact Maura on 057-864-8065 or 087-212-2766. Cost is €15 per person.
