LAOIS HEART SUPPORT GROUP

Thank you to Jimmy Hayes and his table tennis players for their recent table tennis demonstration in the amenity park. It was excellent and enjoyed by all there on the day.
Recently at the Community Games the girls won the under 13s cup, congratulations to Tiegan O’ Connor, Jessie Hayes, Hailey Hayes, Leanne Delaney and Nadia Krawczun. Jimmy has done great work with the club and we wish them all the best in the future. Thank you also to Karl from Laois Sports Partnership who also came along to the park to demonstrate how to correctly use the gym equipment and answer people’s queries.

The Library Summer Reading Challenge is underway and will continue until August 31. The book chosen for the August meeting of the Adult Book Club is ‘The Orange Mocha-Chip Frappuccino Years’ by Ross O’Carroll-Kelly. The club meets on the first Thursday of every month and new members are always welcome.
