ST PATRICKS DAY PARADE

Killeshin will hold its 29th St Patricks Day Parade, this year. All clubs, organisations and general public are invited to assemble at the Hall for 9.30am with flags and banners. People are invited to dress up for the occasion. Parade will commence at 9.50 to arrive at Holy Cross Church for 10.15 Mass. Any queries, contact Pat Whelan at 9147868.

PENITENTIAL SERVICES

Penitential Services for Lent will take place at all Masses on Weekend ofMarch 9 and March 10.

COMMUNITY GAMES

SOLEMN NOVENA

This is the eighth year to run our Solemn Novena and it begins on Monday 08 April and will continue for nine consecutive nights. Everyone is invited during Lent to place petitions in the petition boxes in St Clare’s. Guest speakers for this year’s Novena: Joe Canning, Breda O’Brien, Fr Aidan Troy, Fr Benny McHale, Br Luke, Dominican Brother; Siobháin Tighe, Fr Cathal Price, Margaret Drew, and Mt Rev Dr Charles Brown.

COMMUNION TO THE SICK

Fr John will bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound in the rural area on this Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6 while Fr Brian will bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound in the town area on this Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8.

COUNTRY MARKET

Jewellery and card making courses on Saturday, March 9, 10 to 11am. All materials and tools supplied. Jewellery course costs €10 and card making course costs €5. Contact Siobhan 0857742733.

PARISH BINGO

Graiguecullen Monster Bingo on this Tuesday, March 5 at 8.30pm in Graiguecullen Hall.

Great money to be won on the night. All lines checks €50, double lines €60, full houses from €150 to €200 plus jackpot, interval and flyer on the night. All loose sheets €2 each, Six panel book €5, double book €10. Everyone welcome and bring a friend also.

EVERGREEN’S retreat 2013

Evergreens Retreat will take place on Thursday, March 14 in St Fiacc’s House Activity Centre. Cost will be €10. Please give names to Parish Centre.

WOMEN’S PAMPERING DAY

Women’s Pampering Day on Sunday, March 10, Mother’s Day, in St Fiacc’s Hall from 2 to 6pm. Proceeds will go to St Fiacc’s House and the ÉIST Centre. Tickets €10 available from St Fiacc’s House, Parish Centre, Killeshin Stores and Second to None.

GRAIGUECULLEN GAA

Graiguecullen ladies GAA will hold a players meeting on Friday March 8 at 7pm. All players interested in playing in this year’s championship and any new players are welcome. Recent lotto results, numbers drawn were 03, 04, 07 and 17. There was no jackpot winner so for the next draw, jackpot €10,000, Reserve €10,000, second reserve €6,400. NEW EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Anyone who would like to become a Eucharistic Minister are asked to give their name to the Parish centre before Monday 11 March. Training will begin after that date. Holy Hour for all Eucharistic Ministers will take place on Thursday 07 March at 8pm in the Parish Centre.

CHILDREN’S BOOK COLLECTION

St Fiacc’s Parents Association are organising a sale of second-hand children’s books. If anyone would like to donate good quality books suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years, please drop them into the school before Friday, March 8.
