Choir is full at the minute, practice every Wednesday 6.30pm - 7.30pm in Emo GAA hall. Basketball begins Friday March 8, 5pm in Emo GAA hall for U11 mixed, U13 boys and U13 girls separate. Training will alternate between Killenard and Emo, €2 charge in Killenard. Anyone interested in gymnastics contact Anita Byrne 0861991376. Projects for area final U11/13/16 must be presented on Wednesday March 6, 6pm. County cycle on grass 2k U12 boys and girls, U14 boys and girls and the dualathlon (1400m run, 8k cycle, 1400m run) U15 boys and girls on April 8, Emo, 6.30pm.

LATE MICHAEL MALONE

Condolences to the family of the late Michael Malone of Coolbanagher, Emo who passed away peacefully on February 26. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers William and Edward, sister Mary, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral to St Paul’s Church, Emo for requiem mass with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Emo.

Ciss Wheeler

Emo were saddened by the sudden death of Ciss Wheeler on Feburary 26. She was predeceased by her husband William and daughter Mary, and is survived by her sons Christy and Tommy and her daughters Sarah Jenny and Josie her sister Anna, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Rosary was recited at her home on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and removal from her residence last Thurseday morning to St Pauls church Emo. Mass was celebrated by Fr Dooley PP and Fr Hughes. Emo GAA did a guard of honor and she was buried in the adjoining cemetary. Ciss was one in a million and will be sadly missed, never forgotten.
