The annual vintage rally takes place Sunday May 26th in the GAA grounds at 12pm. Along with the large amount of vintage machinery on display there will be plenty to entertain all the family. Dog shows, weight throwing, butter and basket making and bottle stalls will be just some of the items on view. The Ballyroan Brass Band will also entertain the crowds. All welcome.
FIT FOR SUMMER
We had 219 participants in our Cullohill 5k on Wednesday last. Thanks to everyone who has supported our series so far. The next fun run takes place in Ballinakill on May 22 and the distance is 6k. Training continues on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm in the GAA pitch and there is a beginners training group from the Manor every Thurs at 7pm and new comers are always welcome.
The date is drawing ever nearer for Ballyroan Abbey’s Gathering event. This June bank holiday there will be a family fun weekend taking place in the Gaa grounds. There will be a number of Juvenile games and adult football games and there will be plenty of our former players returning to take part. The Scully and McEvoy cups will be played for between the teams and there will be plenty of entertainment for everybody.
