Monday night, April 22, another great night for Portlaoise Toasmasters, sawy Bryan Holland a long-dedicated member graciously accept his Advance Communicator Bronze award.

Monday night, April 22, another great night for Portlaoise Toasmasters, sawy Bryan Holland a long-dedicated member graciously accept his Advance Communicator Bronze award.

He delivered an impromptu speech titled ‘accepting an award’. He spoke of the buzz that speeches give him and how helpful that they are. Bryan got a deserved standing ovation.

Before Bryan, Jimmy Fitzpatrick demonstrated three snores before delivering a lively and informative speech on snoring. Jimmy admitted he is a snorer and it became evident that the girls in his life are all too aware of it!

Donal Cahill delivered a speech title ‘Manners in Conversations’. His message can be summed up in three words: ‘Observe, Listen and Respond’.

Later Jimmy Fitzpatrick recalled his youth and Pat Lillis retold the story of a farmer selling property at basement prices. Mary spoke about her wardrobe mishap with two different shoes.
