Walkers meet every morning at 9.30am in the square for a walk around the Tea Rooms up to Heywood Gardens. All welcome.
Bingo will be held in the Old School Community Hall for the foreseeable future due to renovations in the old hall. Over €1,200 in prize money, also a raffle on the night. Come and enjoy a great night out and you might be lucky.

After last year’s success in Portlaoise, the Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Car Owners Club have decided to run the indoor vintage show event again on the Sunday of the October Bank Holiday between 11am and 4.30pm. The event will be held a the Laois Shopping Centre Portlaoise with funds raised to the Portlaoise Lions Club. There is no cover charge for exhibitors or visitors, a collection will take place on the day for this year’s nominated charity, Portlaoise Lions Club.
Registration of exhibitors will start on Saturday 26 but all stall holders and business interests must book there space at least two weeks in advance and a fee will apply for each space taken.
The inaugural Knock threshing event which was held on Sunday, September 15 was a great success. The sun shone eventually and the crowds came and a great day was had by all.
