Heritage officer Catherine Casey along with a couple of helpers, was busy over the three days showing children how to make bird feeders for their gardens.

Heritage officer Catherine Casey along with a couple of helpers, was busy over the three days showing children how to make bird feeders for their gardens.

Each of the feeders was made out of damp clay which was then rolled with bird seeds. The clay was then wrapped in paper so the children could take them home and dry them out for use. This project, along with badge-making, was part of biodiversity workshops run at the Laois County Council stand.
