DANCE LESSONS

Commencing on Thursday April 12th free lessons in social and sequence dancing will be held in St Canice Hall Borris in Ossory from 2pm-4pm.All men and women welcome to attend.Lessons will continue for ten weeks and are sponsored by Laoie V.E.C. Community Education Scheme.Tutor Maureen Culleton

DERRYLAMOGUE NS

Sacrament of Penance: Congratulations to the Holy Communion Classes of both Derrylamogue and Rosenallis schools who received the Sacrament of Penance. Fun Day Well done to all the children who took part in the Derrylamogue School Fun Day which was held on Friday last.

A special word of thanks to the pupils of 5th & 6th class who helped organise the various events such as bring & buy, cake sale and other fun events. All proceeds collected on the day were donated to the Cuisle Centre.

CLONASLEE COLLEGE EASTER RAFFLE

Clonaslee College Parents Council needs the help of parents and students over 16 years to sell Raffle Cards in the Bridge Centre Tullamore, on Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th April to make the Easter Raffle a success. Any raffle cards that have not been returned to the school (sold or unsold) must be given to parents selling cards in the Bridge Centre before 2 pm on Saturday 7th April.

ROSENALLIS TIDY TOWNS

New members and volunteers would be greatly welcomed. We need the support of the local community in our endeavours. We are requesting that each household be responsible for their stretch of road and collect any litter near their own gate/garden area. If their are large amounts of waste or heavy items please contact 0876197133 who will organise collection of same.

CLEAN UP LAOIS WEEK

Clean up Laois week is on from Monday 16 to 20 April 2012. Pick Up Clean ups for that week will be organised in the four areas of Rosenallis. The village on Wednesday 18th April at 7pm at St.Brigid’s Church.

Clonaheen on Sunday 15th April at 5pm at Clonaheen Hall.Capard and Reary we are asking young and old to come out and help us please call to organise a litter pick up, also young members of the community will receive a certificate which they can use to support their school Green Flag projects. ROSENALLIS SOCCER CLUB

Rosenallis Soccer Club are running a club fund raising draw, with over 15 thousand euro in prizes. Tickets are on sale from both players and committee members. They are 10 euro each. Draw will take place on May 7 in the Bridge House Tullamore.

GREEN SCHOOL SCRAP

The Green School Committee is giving you the opportunity to get rid of your unwanted scrap metal and batteries. The delivery depots are Shaw’s Garage. Rosenallis or Albert Thompson’s yard in Cappalough.
