aS part of celebrating the Eucharistic Congress a series of ecumenical events will be held from 7pm on Sunday, June 17 in Killeigh.

The Parish Pastoral Council invites parishioners and others to join them as they journey through history in an ecumenical prayer pilgrimage. It begins at the ‘Blessed Wells’ where our ancestors worshipped God in nature, and where St Senchell introduced the Christian Faith, using the same water to baptise people into the faith.

Then the pilgrimage will move to a roofed building and cloister which are about 1,000 years old and from there to the Church of Ireland church, for reading of the Word of God and some prayer.

Finally people with go through the village to the parish church, St Patrick’s, where there will be a benediction of the blessed sacrament.

The pubic is asked to park in the church grounds, before walking to the ‘Blessed Wells’ to be there before 7pm for the beginning of the pilgrimage at 7pm.
