Clonaslee Primary School are holding a fund raiser on Sunday Feb 1 from 1 to 4pm to upgrade their multisensory room. Come and enjoy a family fun day with auction, bring and buy, face painting etc.

Slieve Bloom Macra

If you are in the Rosenallis/Clonaslee area and fancy a cheap and cheerful social life and are aged between 17 and 35, then why not join Macra? Farm Safety Night

Laois Macra in conjunction with FBD will host a Farm Safety Night on Wednesday the 4th of February at 8.30pm in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise. All farm families and friends are encouraged to attend. Speakers on the night include James Maloney, Machinery Editor with The Irish Farmers Journal; Brian Rohan, EMBRACE Farm and a speaker from the HSA.

Card game in the clubrooms on Friday’s all welcome starts 8pm. Our County board tickets have been given out and our committee members will be calling out shortly, your continued support is very much appreciated.

Community Alert

All the Community Alert signs are up. This involved a huge amount of work for volunteers and their time and effort is much appreciated. The group thank their sponsors also. All are reminded to be vigilant and report suspicious activity or persons to the Gardai. Ask that a text be sent out to the Community. The phone number is (057) 86 74100. The All-Ireland Scór na nOg finals take place in City West on Feb 14. A Quiz team is hoped to form for a practice run. Senior Scór takes place in Mountrath on Friday February 20. An opportunity to represent your club if you can sing, dance, play an instrument or recite a poem or tale. To take part in this or join the quiz team, call Margaret on 085 713 8940.
