SHOE BOX APPEAL

MINISTERS OF THE WORD

The new rota for the next 12 months for our parish readers will be drawn up during the coming week. Anyone not on the existing rota but would like to become a reader are asked to please give your name to the parish office before this Tuesday 23 October. Anyone who would like to be taken off the list are also asked to contact the Parish Office before this Tuesday. Fourteen young people have recently completed a four night training course and will be added to the rota. They will have a brief commissioning ceremony at the 6.30pm Mass next Saturday 27 October.

KILLESHIN FC LOTTO

There was no winner of the recent lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 14, 19, 26 and 27. The four lucky dip winners were Pat Wheatly, Joey Power, Irene Coffey and Marie Byrne and each will receive €25. The seller’s prize of €25 was won by Darragh Mc Donald. The next jackpot stands at €6,600 and tickets can be purchased for €2 from any club member or from the local shop and public houses

OISÍN PARK

Celebrate Halloween in Oisín Park on Wednesday 31 October at 6pm. Gates open 5.30pm. Admission is just €2. Entertainers, shop and teas. Rambling night to follow at 8.30pm. All singers, musicians and storytellers welcome.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST

The names of the faithful departed who parishioners would like remembered and prayed for during November can be handed into the parish office or placed in the November Sacred Space. A sheet and envelope are provided in the box of church envelopes and all loved ones who have died will be remembered at all our Masses during November.

FAMILY MASS

A special family mass will be celebrated in St Clare’s on the first Sunday of each month at 11.30am.

THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

Each Wednesday from 10.30am to 2pm in the Oratory in St Fiacc’s House.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Training course for new young Eucharistic Ministers begins on Thursday 8 November from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and will run for four weeks in the Parish Centre.

RAINBOWS PEER SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Rainbows Peer Support Programme for school going children. Forms are available at the back of the church or in the parish centre.

THURSDAY MORNING CLUB

Thursday Morning club has resumed after 10am mass in St Clare’s.

MONITORED ALARM

St Catherine’s Community Services Centre is encouraging people to apply for a socially monitored alarm. This provides the elderly with a sense of security in their own home. You can call into St Catherine’s between 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday to fill out an application form. GRAIGUECULLEN GAA

The numbers drawn in the recent lotto were 13, 21, 30 and 31 and there was no jackpot winner. Next jackpot will be €10,000, reserve €10,000, and second reserve €3,000. There were two Match 3 winners of €100 each: CKMT c/o MOR and Saengfoo Keating c/o Mary Forbes. The seller’s prize of €20 each went to Eric Ryan, Jimmy Hurley Snr and Za.
