Whist continues each Wednesday night in the centre at 8.30pm.


Are extended to local man Lawrence Campion releasing his new CD in Castle Arms Hotel Durrow on October 19 at 8.30pm. All are welcome.


Knockaroo ICA guild meeting took place in Knockaroo Community Centre on last Thursday night.

President Joan Kelly opened meeting. A vote of sympathy was passed with Kirwan family Borris-in-Ossory on the recent death of Mrs Margaret (Peggy) Kirwan. Best wishes were sent to Lily Sheerin. Secretary Cassie Coss read minutes and correspondence. Thanks were extended to all who supported the recent coffee evening in Knockaroo Community Centre. It is the time of year again for the shoe box appeal and anyone who wishes to donate shoe boxes will be welcome to do so and can contact any member. Raffle winners were Josie Dunphy, Anne Dunne. Meeting ended with supper.


Sympathy is extended to the Kirwan family Borris-in-Ossory on the recent death of Mrs Margaret (Peggy)Kirwan who was interred in New Cemetery Borris-in-Ossory on Wednesday last after con-celebrated mass in St Canice’s Church.
