The Parish lotto jackpot is now heading for €15200 and it would be lovely jackpot to win. On May 05 the jackpot was €14,900 and it was not won, small winners were €30 Sheila Finnegan, €25 Ailish O’Dea and €20 Michael Holohan.
The lotto of Monday night May 19 will be in O’Connell’s Cullohill with a possible jackpot of €200. All tickets must be handed in before 9.30pm on the night of the draw to be included in that jackpot

Durrow/Cullohill Parish Anglers held a trout fishing competition for the Mick O’Rourke Memorial Cup. The winner was Patrick O’Regan, 2nd Mick Walsh and 3rd Seanie Delehunty.
U-18 Darren Singh. U-14 Lee Coffey. The club will hold a fishing competition on Sunday May 18 and all members will receive a “text” giving full details of the competition.
The May meeting of Cullohill ICA was held in the Community Centre on Tuesday May 06. Votes of sympathy were extended to the following families on recent bereavements; Kenny family on death of Sr Albert, the Harding family on the death of Bridget, Noleen Kells on death of her mother, May they rest in peace.
Four members attended the Federation meeting at which a cheque for €2,295 was presented to Domestic Abuse representatives and a cheque for 3,800 euro was presented to Hospice and Home care teams.
Laois Federation are planning a three night four day break touring Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford based in White’s Hotel Wexford. Deposit of €100 before Friday May 16 and tour starts on July 8 with a full cost of €269.

Grantstown Nature Reserve angling Centre and walking trails is now open to the public.
The official opening will be later in this month.
The minister for Arts, Heritage and the Galeacht Mr Jimmy Deenehan will be in attendance.

Durrow Leafy Loop walk with Flora and Fauna and Bluebells in Capponellan Woods on Thursday and Friday night May 15 and 16 each night at 7 pm. Meeting place is the car park in Capponellan wood, very suitable for families, all welcome.
