No Limits summercamps for children with special needs, and Coderdojo computer club, are holding a Family Fun Day at their new home in the Old School Ballyfin on Sunday July 27, 11am - 3pm. ST FINTANS GAA
On Monday July 14 the U-6 and U-8’s travelled to Croke Park for the Croke Park Experience. 36 young players along with their coaches and parents had a brilliant day. Resplendent in theirnew club gear they played Cushenstown from Co Wexford and won both games.It was followed by a picnic and visit to a pet farm in Clondalkin Amenity Park. Well done to all the coaches, parents and players .
This weekend is a hurling blitz in Castletown. The lotto jackpot of €3800 held in Toms Bar was not won. Next lotto of €4000 will be in The Pub.
To tie in with the reading challenge the library will be hosting a mythical creatures drawing workshop on Tuesday August 5 11am -12am. Suitable for ages 8-12 years old. A free workshop but places are limited so booking is essential. Call Aoife at 057 8756378.
The knitting club meets every Friday morning 10:30-12:30pm all welcome. Why not drop in for a chat and a cuppa.

CLONENAGH GOLF CLASSIC
Clonenagh Parish Fundraising Committee would like to say a big thank you to everybody who sponsored our golf classic, be it a hole, or a team, who donated goodies for the goodie bags and raffle prizes for the raffle, and made it a great success without your help it would not be as good a success.
The sale of jam in aid of Laois Hospice continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. Thanks to all who support by buying jam and donating fruit.
The outdoor gym in the local amenity park can be used by all ages. We would encourage all local clubs and groups to use this facility.

Dog fouling is a growing litter problem on paths in the town. It is a nightmare for walkers and a health hazard for young children. Local awareness to identify the dog owners responsible is required. Please contact the Council’s Free-phone litter hotline @ 1800 32 32 30 with specific details if witnessed i.e. name and address of dog owner, location, time and date.
A sum of cash was found on Wednesday July 9 on Main Street near Telfords.
