STEPHENS DAY WALK
This year’s hospice walk is near, so get those walking boots out and stretch those legs! Follow it on Facebook, Clonaslee St Stephens Day. Donations of Christmas cakes and fruit cakes gratefully accepted. Sponsorship cards through Sheila, 087-633-9540.
Items for shoebox gifts for the homeless are being collected by Clonaslee Pharmacy. Give a small gift and a bit of hope to a homeless person this holiday season. Appreciated gifts include toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, sweets or chocolates, socks, hats, scarves, gloves. Even a euro will help!
Thanks to all who came and enjoyed the Clodiagh Players presenting ‘The Six Marys’ written by Jean Farrell, and to everyone who helped in any way on the production.
Please report any suspicious cars or vans you see around. Do not entertain callers to your house selling items. Always ask for identification. Those with monitor alarms please wear your panic button, it is no use on the table or in the other room. Anyone with a peep hole should use it before answering your door. Be vigilant.
All monitor alarms must be returned to the community alert when the person no longer requires one. They belong to the committee and we install them for the next person who requires one. Please do not give it to anyone else. Teresa Maloney of Task installs the alarms and can always be reached on 087-970-5651.
