The Trumera NS enrollment day will take place at the school on Tuesday April 30 from 10am to 2pm. All interested are welcome to attend.

HOSPITAL FUNDRAISER

“O WHAT A NIGHT” the official name of a fundraiser in aid of St Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick. This will be held in a marquee in Eddie Kirwan’s Mountrath on May 17. It will begin at 8.30pm sharp. On the night a host of local talented singers will take to the stage in the marquee to display their wonderful talent. Also appearing will be the Super Midlife Crisis. Admission to the marquee is €5. Why not come along to a fantastic show for a worthy cause.

PADDOCK NATIONAL SCHOOL

Paddock NS is currently preparing for its 125 years celebration and the school is intending putting a commemorative booklet together. All past pupils / employees are invited to submit their ‘memories’ of their time spent in Paddock - any old photos, memorabilia, articles or old stories associated with the school are also welcome. Please forward all articles to the school before April 26. All photos etc will be returned to the owners once they are copied. The proposed date for the celebration is Friday June 14, so please inform all friends and family of this date and invite them to come along and celebrate this great occasion with us.

LADIES GAA FOOTBALL

Training for girls Gaelic football has resumed and will be held every Friday in St Aengus Soccer Pitch on The New Line Road from 4pm-5.15 pm. All girls aged 5yrs - 14 yrs are very welcome. We are delighted to welcome back our existing members and are keen to encourage new members from Mountrath & the surrounding areas to join our Ladies Football Club. It is a great way to get fit & to have fun and learn a new skill.

LIBRARY NEWS

The knitting club continues to meet every Friday morning 10:30-12:30pm all welcome.

The outdoor gym in the local amenity park can be used by all ages. We would encourage all local clubs and groups to use this facility.
