St Brigids Handball Club

The club have decided to launch a major fundraising drive, as major renovation works are needed on the alley to include exterior plastering, insulation, new showers, and a new glass backwall.

In association with Piltown GAA, 5 monthly draw tickets are available from any committee member, €50 for the 5 months.

Last week’s winners in the Crettyard Footballers Lotto were Nellie Shiels, 3 Doonane Road, Tommy Eyre, Ardenteggle, Noel Doyle, c/o Morrisseys, Tony Carr, Tolerton. The winning numbers were 7-15-26-30.


Top score at Newtown whist on Saturday was won by Gerry Kealy, Ashfield.

1st lady Ena Wallace and Hannah Moore. 1st gent Tom Gowing. 2nd Willie Farrell. 1st half Paul Kavanagh. 2nd Kay Chase. 1st quarter Kathleen Mooney and Peg Cahill. 2nd quarter Gretta McNulty. Raffle winners were Kay Chase, Kathleen Mooney, Margaret Brennan, Fr Murphy and Nora Fisher. Whist continues as usual on Saturday.


The speaker at the Novena in Graiguecullen on Monday April 28 is Fr Benny McHale, CC, Athenry, Co. Galway.

The rosary commences at 7.10 and mass is at 7.30pm.
