WOMEN’S PARTY NIGHT

It’s your last chance to get tickets for the women’s party night on Friday April 26 in the Clonaslee Community Centre. Tickets are available from Dolores Murray, Annette Doolan, Betty Finnerty, Kathleen Blake and Nuala Smith and must be purchased no later than Wednesday April 24. A 3 course meal starting at 8 pm and entertainment for only €20, it will be a great night.

IRISH DANCING

Irish dancing classes resume on Tuesday evenings in the Parochial hall from 4:30 pm- 5:30pm. Beginners welcome.

CLONASLEE VINTAGE RUN

Clonaslee Vintage Run, in aid of Mountmellick Hospital Patient’s benefit fund and Clonaslee Tidy Towns is on Sunday May 5. Meet at Swan’s Bar with breakfast being served from 9 am. We will be on the road for 11 am. Auction after run, bbq and other activities. Duck race taking place at 3 pm, all proceeds from duck race go towards Scoil Bhríde. Music provided by the well-known Rock on Paddy.

FLEADH CHEOIL

Fleadh Cheoil entry forms now available for Laois County Fleadh Cheoil 2013. For entry forms contact Eilish Dunne branch secretary 057-864-800​0. Music classes continue weekly in the Community Centre on Thursdays 6-8 pm and singing classes every Friday in Scoil Bhríde at 3 pm.

SENIOR CITIZENS SOCIAL

Senior citizens social afternoon on Wednesday April 24 in the Heritage Centre from 2pm-4pm. All are welcome. Bingo and light refreshments will be served.

CHILDRENS NOVELTY BINGO

Bingo on Sunday 28th April from 2:30 – 4 pm in the Parochial Hall. Cost €2. All welcome to join in the fun.

COMMUNITY CHOIR PRACTICE

Practice is on Sunday April 21 at 6:30 pm in the Fr Shortall room for the upcoming Bicentenary concert which is on May 24. Anyone interested in participating is welcome to come.

CASTLECUFFE NS ENROLMENT

Please contact Castlecuffe National School on 057-864-8238 if you wish to enrol your child for the school term starting in September 2013. Enrolment forms and information will be given to parents.

SCOIL BHRÍDE ENROLMENT

The village primary school is currently endeavouring to determine numbers for the school year 2013 –2014. It is imperative that parents of all Junior infants for September 2013 contact the school in writing over the next few weeks. Please give details of child’s name, address, date of birth and PPS number and your own contact number. Actual forms will be given later in year.
