Sympathy is extended to the O’Dea family on the death of Teresa O’Dea on November 9. Teresa (Tess) was predeceased by her husband Jack and her son Kieran. Sympathy is extended to her sons Michael, Sean and Patrick and her daughters Mary-Ann, Anne, Catherine, Teresa and Ellen, extended family, relatives and friends. She reposed at her residence and following funeral prayers was removed to the Church of Our Lady, Queen of the Universe, Errill. Funeral mass on Monday was followed by burial in Errill Cemetery. Rest in peace.

Rathdowney/Errill GAA Club annual auction on Sunday, November 24 in St Bernadette’s Hall, Errill. This has been a very successful fundraiser for the club so all support would be greatly appreciated. On the day there will be all sorts, from fuel for the winter to hurling gear for the summer. Spin the wheel will also take place which has proven to big a huge success for young and old. Santa will also be making an appearance so come along and see what bargains can be got. Great prizes to give away. A draw will take place on the day of the auction


The Parents Council of Errill NS are organising a Bag2School collection on Tuesday, November 19 between 9 am and 12 noon in St Bernadette’s Hall. The clothes have to be of good quality for reuse in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Our school funds will receive a fantastic 60c a kilo / €600 per tonne which will be a great boost for our fundraising. An additional 10% will be donated to The LauraLynn House. The Parents Council is also hosting an anti bullying training session on Tuesday, November 26 from 7.30pm-9.30pm. The session runs for two hours and is provided free of charge. For local parents of primary and post primary children.


Set dancing classes continue in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge, Clonmore on Thursday nights commencing at 9pm. All interested in set dancing welcome to attend. Beginners especially welcome. Further information phone Paddy on 087 67481.
