Ballinakill GAA AGM
The Ballinakill GAA Club AGM takes place on Friday, November 22 at 8pm in club rooms. All members are urged to attend. GAA lotto draw every Thursday night.
There were eight tables. Winners on 13 games were Tom Fenlon and Mick Higgins. Runners up on ten games were Kate Walsh and Paddy Sheeran. 9 games were Gerry Kelly and Dick Costigan, Jim Mahony and P Pendergast, Martin Walsh and P Delaney. Raffle winners were 1st prize Peter Dunne, 2nd prize Peter Dunne, 3rd prize Tony Dooley and 4th prize Eilis Phelan.
Walkers continue to meet every morning at 9.30am in the square for a walk around the Tea Rooms up to Heywood Gardens. All welcome.
Bingo will be held in the Old School Community Hall for the foreseeable future due to renovations in the Old Hall. Over €1,200 in prize money, also a raffle on the night. Come and enjoy a great night out and you might be lucky.

A Spink Community Development Association Emergency First Aid course takes place Knock Hall on November 26 by Ali Shrahestani (Ali Active Training) from 7 to 9pm with a question and answer session afterwards. cost is €10 and is open to all. Those interested should contact Ali, Michael Mc Evoy, Anne Cass, Peggy Costigan, Noreen Cahill, Eamonn Brophy, Micheal Kehoe or any committee member to book a place.
Friends of Fr Kevin Doheny are hosting a concert on Friday November 22 at 8pm in The Church of The Assumption Ballyouskill. Local choirs and musicians will perform to raise funds for the charity founded by Ballymartin native Fr Kevin Doheny whose vision was to enable and empower rural households and communities in Africa to build sustainable livelihoods. Proceeds to projects in Ethiopia. Tickets €10 from the committee (email firstname.lastname@example.org) or on the door.
The date for our Christmas fair has been set for Sunday December 15. Mark it in your diary and please come out and support.
Dr Madden is still administering the flu vaccine and would encourage everyone who needs it to avail of it before the cold weather arrives.
Active retirement continues every Wednesday in the Old School Community Hall at 1pm with dinner. All welcome.
