August 20 is the last night to use the training fields on the Shannon Road. The lands are now private. Persons must be aware that insurance cover finished tonight August 20. All training sessions must transfer to Clonin. Please book the Clonin grounds through our club secretary as other clubs will also be using this field. Many thanks to Seamus Burke for the use of the field and to the vast majority of people on the Shannon Rd many thanks for your support over the past two playing seasons. Many thanks also to the Clonin Community Committee for the use of their facilities. The lotto jackpot worth €4800 was not won. Next lotto is worth €5000 in Toms bar.
Ballyfin Field Day
Ballyfin GAA is hosting its annual field day on Sunday, September 14 from 1-6pm. More attractions planned than last year. Fun for all the family and all ages promised. The day also marks the opening of the club’s new pitch. Attractions on the day: obstacle course, bouncy castle, mini golf, sliotar, football & frisbee target, face painting, buzzer box, hurling pipe etc. Loads of prizes to be won on the day also. Mark it in your diary and all are welcome. Quantum sale draw in the Deadman’s Inn on Sunday, September 14.
Paddock NS parents and pupils are participating in a 5k Mide Mud Run in Nobber in Meath on August 30 at 11am. Everyone welcome to come and support. Thanks to Joe Moore for the use of his coach, and Martina and Gerry Williams from Dawn to Dusk in Mountrath for getting the t-shirts printed up do quickly. The parents committee thank everyone who kindly sponsored.
The knitting club continues to meet every Friday morning 10:30-12:30pm all welcome.
The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their continuing support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.
