Parish Fair

The Christmas Parish Fair is being held on Sunday, December 14. More details to follow.

GAA Dinner Dance

The Club Dinner Dance will be held on Friday the 28th of November in the Castle Arms Hotel in Durrow, starting at 8pm. Music on the night by Damien Bowe and there will also be a DJ. Tickets are €30 each and available from any committee member. Special guest on the night is Ger Loughnane.

Cumann na mBunscoil

Hard luck to Knock NS who were defeated by Clonaslee in the County final recently.

Parish Lotto

Numbers 1, 5, 14, 22. No Winner. €20 each to Sheila & Michael Carter, Tom Brennan, John Rowe, Sheila Hosey, The Corner Boys, Billy Coyle, Sian Fitzpatrick, Downey Family, L & C Larkin, Michael Dunphy. Next weeks jackpot € 2,600.

Juvenile GAA

Training will continue through the winter months for all age groups in Heywood gym on Monday evenings at 6pm. Minimum age is 5 years old. For health and safety reasons parents must stay when training is on. cost is €2 per night. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Bingo

Bingo is held every Monday night in the hall on the square starting at 8.30 pm. Over €1,200 in prizes every week. There is also a raffle. More local support would be appreciated as crowds have dropped recently. Come and enjoy and you might be lucky.

Monster Auction

There will be a monster auction in O Shaughnessy’s bar on Saturday the 8th of November at 9.30pm for the Heart and Lung Foundation. Items for sale will include farm produce, silage, hay, straw, heating, timber, blocks, turf, coal and all types of vouchers. Please support this worthy cause.

Cards

There was 9 tables. Winners on 11 games were Paddy & Tony Walsh, Josie Garrett & Eugene Murphy. Runners up on 10 games were Mick Carter & Jim Ryan, Jim Walsh & Patsy Sheehy, Martin Walsh & Peter Delaney, Gerry Kelly & Phil Doheny. Raffle winners were Patsy Sheehy, Joe Gill, Paddy Mc Ginty, Phil Doheny.
