RATHDOWNEY GAA

There was no winner in this weeks Jackpot which was €6,100. The numbers drawn were 14, 15, 17, 23. The 10 winners of €15 were Jason Phelan, Maura Bourke, Matthew Browne, Liam & Joan Hayes, Robert Purcell, Teagan Reilly, Mgt Gavin, Betty Delaney, Mary Williams, Mick Donohue. Next weeks Jackpot will be €6,250. Tickets can be purchased in all shops or from any local promoter.

CYMS

The Club would like to thank Super Valu for the use of their premises last week for the Guess the value of the trolley, the winner of the €100 voucher was Anne-Marie Kelly. Many thanks to everyone who supported us.

CHESS club

The chess club for adults has changed it’s venue it will be held in O’Malley’s Thursday night at 8pm. All chess players welcome, starting Thursday November 6, phone 0872388064.

IRISH CLASSES

for adults, spoken Irish for complete beginners to more advance speakers, the classes are starting on Monday November 3 for 6 weeks in Scoil Bhride. Facilitator Paud O Reilly. Please ring Scoil Bhride on 0505 46546 for any further details.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Painting lessons every Wednesday from 10 to 12 noon, Set dancing for those aged 8 and over, adult or child on Wednesday from 7 to 8pm €5 per session, minimum of 10 required for classes to commence. For more details on above please contact Pauline on 087 6572701.

GIRL GUIDES

Carol and Claire Stanley will be volunteering in local communities in Pune, Western India as part of an Irish Girl Guide Service Project Team next summer. The service projects, which are co-ordinated from the Girl Guide World Centre ‘Sangam’, range from teaching English, promoting and encouraging healthcare for women and children plus helping in the upgrading community centres. To help to raise funds for the projects a Charity Dance will take place in the Golf Club on Friday 7 November – music by Outa Diesel.
