Special thanks to Fr O’Reilly for being with us, also to Nuala and Kathleen for all their help on the day. Thanks to all who gave prizes for the raffle, Pat Keegan, bus driver and Laois Trip. Thanks also to all who helped and made the day very successful. A minute’s silence was observed for the late Bridie Conroy RIP, former chairperson. Our thoughts and prayers were with her.

Congratulations to Clonaslee on receiving 5 extra points in the national competition. Clonaslee is in fourth position in Co Laois, they lost out their third position to Abbeyleix. The committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support and all those who looked after their own areas. Sincere thanks to Patricia Sheed, FAS supervisor and FAS participants for their great work and help. A big thank you to Pat Fenlon for doing trojan work litter picking. Special thanks to the three young people who helped out during the year and we look forward to working with you in 2013. The committee of five worked very hard since the beginning of May and got very little help. To continue in Tidy Towns and to do better more of an effort will have to be made.
