It’s that time of the year again. Ballyfin Parents Council hold their Christmas Bazaar in Ballyfin Community Hall on Sunday, December 2 from 10.30am - 4pm (admission €2 adults children are free). The Bazaar has proved to be a popular tradition and this year we have more craft stalls and family activities than ever before. Make an early start with your Christmas gifts as you browse through the stalls displaying woodturning, jewellery, home baking, oak frames & furniture, balloon gifts, candles personalised gifts, cards, pottery, slates, Margaret’s embroidery and many, many more. Start ticking items off the to-do list as you can pick up home baked Christmas treats, decorations, wreaths or pre order your turkey from Fran Feighrey’s award winning butcher. There’s lots to keep the children entertained with face painting, go carts and other games such as ‘How many baubles are on the Christmas Tree’. Try your luck on the The Wheel of Fortune where there are always lots of prizes to be won. Monster Raffle has 15 prizes to be won. The first prize is a dinner for two at the Ballyfin Demesne. Raffle tickets can be bought on the day at €2 each. This truly is a lovely family day out. Shop till you drop or relax in Anne’s cafe which will be serving delicious home made products all the day. All are welcome so join in the fun.
Congrats to Gerry Conroy and Maureen Culleton who were rewarded at the annual Laois Community and Voluntary Awards.
