Congratulations to Sr Lena Deevy, formerly of Dromagh, Crettyard, and a past pupil of Mayo National School who was the recipient of the President’s Award for her work with Irish Emigrants in USA. The awards were presented in Aras an Uachtarain on Thursday November 15 and Sr Lena featured on the news on RTE.
Last week’s winners in the Crettyard Footballers Lotto were Tom Lennon, Ardenteggle, Paul Hartill, Ballylinan, Sue and John Brennan, Newtown. The winning numbers were 3-8-15-25.
MRS MARTHA KELLY
The death took place at her residence, Newtown, Crettyard, of Mrs Martha Kelly. She had been ill for a short time. Her remains were removed to St Patricks Church, Clogh. Burial took place in adjoining cemetery after requiem mass. Sympathy is extended to her family and a large circle of friends.
Sympathy is extended to the Hennessy family on the recent death of Michelle.
