SET DANCING CLASSES

A great Bingo is held every Tuesday Night at 8.30 in the Rathdowney Community Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.
The museum has now extended the opening hours for the summer months to facilitate our many visitors, the times are as follows: Mon – Fri 11am to 5pm Sat – Sun & Bank holidays 2pm to 5pm. All welcome.
AGM was held on Friday August 23. This was a great year for Rathdowney Macra, taking part and doing well in alot of competitions throughout the year. The chairperson opened the AGM by giving a summary of all that went on throughout the year and welcomed all the new members to the club and gave them brief run down on the activities during the year. The outgoing and incoming committee members are Chairperson Aoibhin Ryan, replaced by Lisa Walsh. Secretary Sinead Aherne, replaced by Laura Walsh, Treasurer Dairmaid Delaney, replaced by Julie Lupton. PRO Julie Lupton replaced by Ian Fitzgerald. We would like to thank all the outgoing committee members for their work during the year and wish all the incoming committee members all the best in the coming year. RATHDOWNEY GAA LOTTO
There was no winner in this week’s jackpot which was €8,800. The numbers drawn were 4, 12, 14, 25. The 10 winners of €15 were Michael Creagh, S. Quigley, Mary Ann Creagh, Abe Kavanagh, S. There will be an open night for 2nd Laois Rathdowney Scout Group on Wednesday Sept 11, in the Marion Centre at 8pm. Parents/Guardians are invited to come along and register their child for Beavers (boys and girls) ages 6,7 &
8. Cubs (boys and girls) ages 9,10 & 11.
