Camross Active Retirement Group
Camross Active Retirement Group went on a day out to Glendalough on Monday 26th. 23 People travelled on Gerry Wallace’s bus. Our first stop was Enniskerry where we enjoyed tea and scones and a walk around the village. Then on to Glendalough where we went to the visitor centre, saw the round tower and St Kevin’s old church. There was a lovely walk here and some of the group availed of it. We visited St. Kevin’s Church, Laragh and then on to The Wicklow Heather Restaurant for a lovely meal.
The chef Dave Lalor is from Mountmellick. We returned home by the scenic route through Hollywood, Ballymore Eustace into Kilcullen and then Newbridge.
The drive over the mountain was spectacular and everyone enjoyed a lovely day out. Thanks to Gerry and all concerned.
