Padraig Clancy, Laois takes on Vincent Corey, Monaghan in the All Ireland senior football championship at O'Moore Park.Picture: Alf Harvey.

The club would like to wish Padraig Clancy all the very best in retirement.

Padraig always did his best in the blue and white and his dedication to the Laois cause since 1998 is admirable. We were always very proud to see Timahoe under his name year after year on official programmes in Croke Park. The “long red haired lad” was well known all over the country.

As a club Timahoe GAA wish him all the best and hope that he has loads more to offer our beloved red and white.
