RETIRED COMMUNITY TEA PARTY
The Clonaslee Heritage Centre is hosting a tea party for the retired community on Friday November 14 from 11am – 1 pm in aid of Age Action. Children from Scoil Bhríde and Castlecuffe NS will be performing and audience participation will be most welcome. There will be tea and cakes and lovely prizes to be won in the draw. Come and join us for a fun filled morning.
CEMETERY ROSARY
The rosary will be recited on Sunday November 2 in our local cemeteries as follows: 2 pm – Corrigeen cemetery; 2:45 pm Kilmanman cemetery; 3:30 pm Clonaslee cemetery.
ST STEPHEN’S DAY HOSPICE WALK
A meeting takes place today Tuesday October 28 at 8 pm in the Community Centre to discuss the annual St Stephen’s Day Walk. All volunteers are kindly invited to attend.
Comhaltas
Clonaslee branch of CCE would like to thank everyone who supported their cake sale, by baking or buying items. Total raised was €262.
Next singing and music session is on Friday November 7 at 8:30pm in the Parochial Hall in aid of Trad for Trocaire. There will a donation box on the door and a raffle. Come along for a bit of craic and wonderful music and song.
Comhaltas music classes are on Thursdays from 4:15 pm to 8 pm in the Community Centre. Instruments being taught are tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, piano accordion, flute, banjo and keyboard. Classes cost €6 per week and are open to beginners and advanced, children and adults. All are welcome. Contact John Conway on 085-285-1772.
Membership now due cost is juniors €6, seniors €12 and family membership €20 payable to John Conway or Jimmy Casey.
KNIT AND CHAT CLUB
If you are interested in teaching or learning how to knit, or join with knitters on a weekly basis please contact Dolores on 087-414-8093 with a view to starting up a knitters club.
HOLY CROSS ABBEY
Bus arranged for the next trip to Holy Cross Abbey on Thursday November 6. Bus will leave Clonaslee at 5:45pm with collection in Rosenallis and Mountmellick. Cost is €15 return. If you require tea and sandwiches cost is €5. Last day to book your seat is Monday November 3 by ringing 087-212-2766.
SOCIAL SERVICES
Bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Heritage Centre. Come along and have a cuppa and chat. All welcome. It’s a nice way to get out of the house for a couple of hours.
BABY, PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
Group meets Tuesday mornings 9:30 am to 11:30am during school term in the Community Centre. All welcome. Call Elaine 087-236-2723.

Siobhan Dormer attends the Parochial Hall on Tuesdays, 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. All ages and levels welcome.
