LATE BREDA MANSWORTH
The death occurred on March 19, (peacefully), surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, of Breda Mansworth, (nee Pendergast) (Grange, Stradbally, Co. Laoise). Breda, loving wife of Richard; sadly missed by her loving family, son Eamon, daughter Paula, son-in-law Tom, grandsons Séamus, Ruaidhrí and Richard, brothers Billy, Joe and Aiden, sisters-in-law Joan and Mary, brother-in-law Eddie, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends and her special friends Laura and Linda. Her remains were reposing at her residence until removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally on Wednesday for Funeral Mass. Burial took place immediately afterwards in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Ratheniska.

The death occurred (peacefully) on March 23 of Richard Mansworth, (Grange, Stradbally, Co. Laois). Richard, devoted husband of Breda recently deceased on March 19, 2012, sadly missed by his son Eamon, daughter Paula, brother Eddie, son-in-law Tom, grandsons Séamus, Ruaidhrí and Richard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbours. Rest in peace. His remains were reposing at his home in Grange until removal on Sunday to the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 11.30 o’c. Mass and burial took place immediately afterwards to the Holy Cross Cemetery, Rathneskia.
FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB
Stradbally Flower & Garden Club monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 4 in St. Joseph’s Hall @ 8 p.m. The Club welcomes Richard Delmer, AOIFA from the Newbridge Club to give a demonstration on Easter and all are welcome. A cup of tea and a biscuit will be served. More details next week.
Next meeting is on April 3 which is the AGM and new and old members welcome.

Stradbally Brown Trout Fishery has just announced that it will now stock the lake with Rainbow Trout in addition to the Brown Trout which
they currently use. This is a long-awaited and exciting development for the community run project and for all the anglers who fish there.
Stradbally Development Association, the community group behind the lake, have championed this project as part of their plan to increase
the numbers of anglers to Stradbally Lake.

friends. Her remains were reposing at her home on Thursday, March 22 and removal on Friday to the Church of the Assumption, Vicarstown
for Funeral Mass and burial took place immediately afterwards in Moyanna Cemetery.

The Irish Steam Preservation Society’s Narrow Gauge Railway - Stradbally Woodland Express - will have full steam up on the Easter Bank
Holiday weekend, Sunday 8 and Monday 9, April in The Lawn - Stradbally Hall - from 1.30 to 4.30pm each day.

YOUTH CENTRE NEWS
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Stradbally Playground on Easter Saturday, April 7 from 2pm to 4pm. Easter Bunnies will meet you all at Court Square at 1.30 to walk with you up to the Playground for the hunt. We would like to thank Stradbally Playground committee for closing the playground to the public for the two hours in order for us to hold the Easter Egg Hunt. Entrance fee for the hunt is €3. We are also holding a Bake Sale on Easter Sunday after 11.30 mass. We would appreciate any support for this and if you would like to bake a few cakes or buns for us we would be very grateful. A Race Night is also scheduled for April 21st in Napper Tandy’s. Race cards will be available soon.
Stradbally Parish Gaels and Timahoe Ladies Club in association with Leinster Scrap Ltd are holding a scrap and clothes collection on Saturday, April 7 from 9am-6pm in St. Marys Car Park, Stradbally. They need your support to raise much needed funds. This is an opportunity to get rid of unwanted items for free and in the process support Stradbally Parish Gaels and Timahoe Ladies Club. ANNUAL LAOIS HUNTER TRIALS
The annual Laois Hunter Trials are to take place on Easter Saturday, April 7 at Stradbally Hall by kind permission of the Cosby family.
