St. Cronan’s Church of Ireland, Roscrea, will host a major Flower Festival designed by award winning florist Richard Haslam from August 17 to August 20 as part of the church’s bicentenary celebrations. Roscrea’s spiritual, historical and cultural heritage will be represented by spectacular floral displays designed by Richard and created by his team of talented local florists and flower arrangers.
The festival will be launched with a concert in the church on Friday 17th August at 7.30pm which will include musical contributions from Roscrea Junior Comhaltas, Virtuoso Chamber Choir & String Quartet , Nicole Robinson, Jennifer Dann, Jennifer Veighey and Jonathan Carter.
A Cheese and Wine reception will precede the entertainment and after the concert patrons will be able to peruse the wonderful floral creations at their leisure. Tickets will be available at the door priced at €15.
Opening times for the rest of the weekend are as follows: Saturday 18th - 10am - 8pm; Sunday 19th - 12pm - 8pm; Monday 20th - 11am - 5pm. Admission €8 with children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult.
A donation from proceeds will be made to the Laurels Hospice Unit, Roscrea.
