A public meeting was held in St Canices Hall last week about the development of a Playground in the village. The cost of the Playground will be approx €85,000 (incl VAT).

It is hoped that most of the cost will be grant aided but there will have to be some local contribution. Committee Members/Volunteers plan to drop an envelope to every house in the village and surrounding areas whereby people can make a voluntary donation to help with the much needed funds.

They will then be collected on Friday 17th August. Also planned for later dates are a Church Gate Collection at all Parish Churches, Cabaret and Raffle.

All donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
