A meeting of the Stradbally Neighbourhood Watch will be held on Thursday, March 28 (Holy Thursday) in St Coleman’s National School after 7.30pm sermons.
STRADBALLY SPADE BRIGADE
Stradbally Spade Brigade planting of over 5,000 trees will be held inthe Stradbally Community Gardens (beside the allottments) on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23 from 10am onwards. Bring your spade and help the community. Further details from 087 2827398.
LAOIS HUNT HUNTER TRIALS
The Laois Hunt Hunter Trials will be held on Easter Saturday, March 30 at Stradbally Hall.
CAKE SALE IN AID OF COSBY NS
A cake sale in aid of the Cosby National School will be held at the Hunter Trials in Stradbally Hall on Easter Saturday, March 30 from 10am to 2pm. Cakes, buns, tarts, jams, bread, etc. Your support would be very welcome.

STRADBALLY FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB
Angela Behan O’Carroll will be back to give the Easter demonstration on Wednesday, March 27 and all her displays will be raffled at the end of the evening. This is also an open night. Club members are busy at the moment gathering
Shamrock for distribution for the St Patrick’s Day parades.
FORESTRY FESTIVAL FOR STRADBALLY
The Irish Forestry, Woodland and Bio Energy Show 2013 will take place at Stradbally Hall Estate on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11. The show is a bi-annual event that will feature forest and woodland machinery with all the ancillary activities that go with tree growing and harvesting. The show will host the National Tree Climbing Championships and will feature the top tree surgeons competing for a place to represent their country at European and world events.

ST PATRICK’S DAY
St Patrick’s Day is on a Sunday this year and every effort will be made to make the parades in Stradbally, Timahoe and Vicarstown as colourful as ever and inviting individuals, clubs, organisations, businesses to take part. Vicarstown parade 9am to 9.30am mass, Timahoe parade 10am to 10.30 am mass and Stradbally parade 11am to 11.30am mass.
