It’s that time of the year again and the Easyrider’s are almost ready to depart on this year’s charity cycle.

After many discussions and hours spent searching out information not to mention the texts and phone calls!! This year they have chosen The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, Post Polio Support Group and a few local organisations as our chosen charities.

Helen Moynan was particularly thankful to their sponsors, without whom the cycle would not be possible.

“A lot of work goes in to the cycle each year and we wouldn’t be able to do it without our valued sponsors you know who you are,” she said.

Helen outlined the details of this year’s cycle:

“We are heading to Donegal , our plan is to cycle to Roscommon on Day 1, Day 2 Roscommon to Sligo and on Day 3 Sligo to Donegal covering 271 km over three days.”

The cycle will be departing The Square, Rathdowney on Saturday, August 3 at 9.30 am sharp.

“Please come along, bring your friends and give the cyclists and their road crew a good send off. We will be hoping for good weather and support along the way,” Helen said.

To get details of the full route check out the Easyriders facebook page(https://www.facebook.com/easyriders.charitycycle).

For anyone that would like to donate we have made it easier this year and it can be done on mycharity.ie and search Easyriders Charity Cycle.

Helen concluded: “We hope that this year brings a safe, fun filled weekend enjoyed by many. Looking forward to seeing you all in The Square on Saturday, August 3.”
