We ask all residents and business people to please put out hanging baskets and window boxes etc on your premises to make the town look colorful and attractive for the visitors coming to attend the Scarecrow Festival and everyone who comes to Durrow over the summer months. We also need all areas kept clean and swept so we ask residents in all areas to come out on Thursday evenings. Bring brushes, wheelbarrows etc. And help the committee members in their efforts. Together, we can all make a difference as many hands make light work. Thank you for helping in anticipation.

If you are in doubt but considering that you might like to get involved, please do! Do not worry that it will take all of your time; you would not be expected to attend every meeting. THIRD LAOIS DURROW SCOUTS
Our Cub and Beaver sections have now finished for this scouting year. It was another busy year with our Cubs, Beavers and Scouts being well represented locally, at county, provincial and National levels. Well done to all! When we resume in September our Beaver sections will join together as will our Cubs. As always, we are looking for Scouters, and we need male Scouters at the moment.
If anyone is interested please contact Maureen Campion on (085) 8060287 or any Scouter. Sadly we will not be in a position to take names off the waiting list this year and possibly next as we are full to capacity for the foreseeable future. Thank you to all our committed Scouters, we had a great year - enjoy your break and see you all in September.
