Juvenile Registration Night. The Juvenile club will hold their registration night on Friday February 13 in Rathdowney club rooms. Registration will take place between 7.30-9pm. Membership for the year is €20 per player and €40 per family. All new and existing members are encourage to attend this night. Refreshments will be served and any silverware that was won during the year will also be on show.

Book club meet tonight, Tuesday night (Febraury 10) from 8-9pm in Rathdowney Library, new members always welcome to come along. The book for last month was “The Storm of Wars” by Kate Williams. For any details contact the Library on 0505-46852.


A great bingo is held every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in Rathdowney Community Centre. Support would be greatly appreciated. Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.

Condolences to the family of the late Dr Maura Walshe, Kilkenny and formerly Rathdowney who died on February 1 peacefully at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, in her 94th year. Deeply regretted by her relatives and all her friends in Kilkenny Golf and Bridge Clubs. Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney, followed by removal to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for Funeral Mass followed by cremation at Newlands Cross, Dublin.

Condolences to the family of the late Mary Browne (nee Hanrahan), Moore St, Rathdowney, formerly Lisanure, Templetouhy who died on February 1.
