Laois Federation head to ICA AGM

Laois members of the The Irish Countrywomens Association are looking forward to attending the organisation’s Annual General Meeting will be held in The County Arms Hotel Birr Co. Offaly, this Saturday, (May 26), commencing at 10 30am. The delegates will be welcomed to Birr by outgoing Federation President Mary Scully and a very busy morning session is expected.

In the afternoon delagates all look forward to the introduction of the National President, Liz Wall, for the next three years. She will then address the members, before the introduction of incoming Advisory Committee, The National Treasurer, and the Regional Presidents which will include Laois’ own Kathleen Gorman. Kathleen, a member of the Ballyroan Guild has been President of Laois ICA for the last four years. Betty Gorman will then take office for her second term as local President. Good support is expected from Laois, as this begins the very important work of re- inventing the I.C.A.
