Those who wish to support the group will be able to cheer them on their way, when they will be passing through Roscrea, Birr Portumna, Loughrea, Oranmore and Westport. This year’s chosen charities are the Aislinn Centre in Ballyraggett and the Laois Dyslexia Support Group.

There are 55 cyclists and 25 backup crew doing the trip. Organisers wish to express their thanks to everyone who has helped them with this endeavour.

Rathdowney’s Gerry Hayes will cut the ribbon for the start of the 180 mile cycle. Those wishing to make donations can do so on Saturday morning as there will be collection buckets. The Easy Riders are also encouraging people to come out and wave them off. For more information contact Michael Creagh at 087 940 7573.
