Attanagh Residents Meeting

A recent meeting of the Attanagh Residents Association expressed satisfaction with the result of the Tidy Towns Competition which despite a bad summer and early inspection saw a gain of 8 marks from the previous year which reflected the improvements carried out in the area. All who helped in any way were thanked for their efforts.

25 Progressive Card Game

The 25 Progressive Card Games will resume on Friday, October 12 at 8.30 p.m. in Ballyouskill Hall and will continue for the winter months. The games are sponsored by Attanagh Residents Association with the assistance of Ballyouskill ICA. Support for the games would be much appreciated.


On Saturday last an enthusiastic group of fifty members of the Royal Society of Antiquaries visited the Irish Fly Fishing and Game Shooting Museum, Attanagh. The chairman of the society presented Walter with a bound book of the Journals of the Royal Society of Antiquaries Volume 1; 1849-1851 for the museum library.

Ballyouskill Church

The Church of the Assumption is temporarily closed due to problems with the ceiling which will be rectified as soon as possible. In the meantime the Saturday evening mass will be celebrated in Ballyouskill Community Hall.
