RAINBOWS GROUP

KILLESHIN FC LOTTO

There was no winner of the recent lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 09, 20, 22 and 28. The four lucky dip winners were Declan Brennan, Bill Delaney, Sandra Nolan and Emma Crimmins, each will receive €25 and the seller’s prize of €25 was won by Darragh McDonald. The jackpot for next draw stands at €6300 and tickets can be purchased for €2 from any club member or in the local shop and public houses. 

TEXAS HOLD’EM

Killeshin FC is running a Texas Hold’em poker night in the Glenside Lounge on Friday October 12. Registration takes place at 8pm and costs €20. Cash prizes on the night. Food supplied also.

PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE

The AGM will be held on Thursday 18 October at 8pm in the parish centre. The new parish finance committee will be elected at this meeting also.

LITURGY GROUP

Meeting this Wednesday October 10 at 8pm in parish centre.

ALTAR SERVERS

Last Sunday at the 10.15am mass new altar servers were commissioned for Holy Cross Church and next Sunday new altar servers for St Clare’s Church will be commissioned at the 11.30am mass. We thank the young people for volunteering for this special ministry. We thank also Jackie Chapman and Vera Bolger for training and co-ordinating the servers.

KILLESHIN SCHOOL CALENDAR 

Now on sale at the school and in Killeshin Stores. All proceeds go towards providing additional equipment for our new school. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

KILLESHIN HALL

SWIM CLUB ASSESSMENTS

St Fiacc’s swimming club is holding assessments for new members on Saturday October 20. Registration at 6.15pm. Swimmers must be capable of swimming, two lengths. Limited places are available. Please note successful candidates will swim Saturday morning only between 6.45am and 8.45am.

Every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in Graiguecullen Hall. All loose sheets €2 each, six panel book €5 and double book €10. Everyone welcome and bring a friend.

THURSDAY MORNING CLUB

Thursday morning club has resumed after 10am mass in St Clare’s. Parishioners are invited into the parish centre after mass for a cuppa and a chat.

FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

The numbers drawn in the recent lotto were 02, 15, 27 and 31 and there was no jackpot winner. Next jackpot will be €10,000, reserve €10,000, and second reserve €2,400. There was one Match 3 winner of €100; John and Iris Corcoran, c/o John Corcoran. The seller’s prize of €20 each went to John Branagan, Matthew Power and Mary Forbes
