It is that time of year and the grass is finally growing! Just to remind people that the Camross CE workers will be out and about cutting grass in all the different areas and road junctions from now on. It can be difficult to hear oncoming traffic when working a lawn mower or strimmers so we would ask everyone to keep this in mind when approaching people working near the roadside. The success of last years Race Night has enabled the Camross CE scheme to carry on with all the work we do in the Parish and hopefull this years Race Night in July will be equall as successful

The death took place of Mai Chambers at the residence of her sister in Kilkenny. Formerly of the Whitefields Killenure, and daughter of the late Tim. She was sister of Ivor who passed away a month ago . Mai was only in her early 60s. Sincere sympathy to all her family.
Congratulations to Camross U14 boys on qualifying for Feile. They will now travel to Limerick to represent Laois in the All Ireland Feile in July
First Holy Communion
We have First Holy Communion in both ends of the parish over the next few weekends. In Killenure on Sunday 12th at 8.45 am and in Camross on the 26th at 10.00am Our P.P. also has First Holy Communion in Seir Kierans at 12 noon.
Our monthly I.C.A. meeting takes place at 8.00pm next Tuesday.
Camross and Killanure N.S. clothes colletion in aid of Fr. Paddy Hyland’s mission in Kenya. All unwanted clothes may be left in the play shelters of either schools from Monday 6th May. Collection date is on Thursday 9th May.
