Judging for this twelve week competition starts in May and continues to July.
We are appealing to all business people and those living in and around the village to please sweep early each morning and make sure there is no litter or cigarette butts on the footpaths.
Judging is done by staff from the Environment Section at Laois County Council.
National judging begins from June 1. We thank you all for your support in the past.
First communion is on Saturday May 11 at 12 noon in St Manman’s Church.
200 year CONCERT
St Manman’s Church is 200 years old this year and the first event to celebrate is a concert in the church on Friday May 24 at 8 pm.
We have a fantastic line up with the Portlaoise Gospel Choir, La Cheile, Sax Sisters, Community Choir, school children, Emer Dunne, Phoenix Ensemble and James Kilbane, the feature artist.
Music will be varied and fun so it’s an event for all the family. Tickets will be available from local shops, during mass times and from Annette Doolan or Dolores Murray.

Scoil Bhríde, Clonaslee enrolment day for Junior Infants is on Friday May 17 at 1:15pm.
Parents and child to be enrolled are welcome to the school on that day.
Family bingo on Sunday May 12 from 2:30 -4 pm in the Parochial hall. Prizes galore.

CLONASLEE ST MANMANS GAA CLUB
We are holding a special general meeting on Thursday May 9 at 9 pm in the Community
Centre. Agenda is club constitutional change. Runaí Seosamh Mac Conbhuí.
In memory and to honour the victims of the Great Famine, churches throughout Ireland will ring their bells on Sunday May 12 at 2pm.
This simple gesture of bell ringing will help on the long unfinished road to peace and reconciliation when both Churches unite and lead by example.
Whist every Sunday night starting at 9 pm sharp in the Parochial hall. All welcome.
