TRACTOR RUN

The organisers of the tractor run which was held on Sunday April 28 are grateful to everyone for their support. The run which was held in aid of charity realised over 1000 euro.

The speaker at the Novena in Graiguecullen on Monday May 13 is Siobhan Tighe, pastoral worker, Marino Parish, Dublin.

WHIST

Top score at Newtown whist on Saturday was won by Teresa Mulhare. 1st lady Margaret Kealy. 2nd lady S. Langton and Kit Farrell. 1st gent John Graham and Ml. Molloy. 2nd gent Tom Kealy. 1st half Kathleen Mooney. 2nd half Bridget Barrington. 1st quarter Eamon Wheatley. 2nd quarter Mary Wheatley and Kay Chase. Raffle winners were Rita Brennan, John Graham, Willie Farrell, Margaret Kealy and Christy Maher. Whist continues as usual on Saturday.

HANDBALL

Club midweek Lotto bonus ball winner was Criostoir Maher. Tickets at 2 euro are available from John Behan, Mike Murphy or any committee member. The club also have tickets for the Piltown GAA draw which gets underway on June 11. Contact club secretary, Patsy Dowling, 086 3684812.

TRIP TO YOUGHAL

The local ladies club have a couple of seats left for the trip to Youghal which is being held on June 14 - 16. Cost per person sharing is 130 euro which includes busk, B&B and evening meals. Contact Mary or Rita in the Credit Union Office, Newtown.
