LATE Mary Duff
The area was saddened to learn of the passing of Mary Duff. A resident of Aughnacross, Mary had spent ninety years in her home-place, where she resided with her late brother Henry on their farm until three years ago. The Duffs are one of the longest-established families in this parish, with historical records showing that they have lived in Aughnacross for centuries. Mary will be missed by her neighbours and friends in the locality where her kindly and cheerful personality endeared her to many. She resided at Sybil Hill Nursing Home, Raheny for the past few years. Requiem Mass was celebrated at the Nursing Home by Rev Jim .Fingleton. Her remains were removed to Dysart Graveyard where Rev Sean Conlon P.P. led the prayers, prior to burial in the family plot. Her passing is mourned by her nephews, niece, sister-in-law,cousins, neighbours and friends.
