St Joseph’s NS will hold their official opening ceremony on Friday May 2 at 12pm. Parents, past pupils, former staff and former board of management are invited, along with the local community. Refreshments afterwards in the hall.
Afternoon bingo in St Canice’s Hall this Saturday April 26. The summer outing is to Dublin Zoo in early July. Details finalised at next meeting.
The next and final pilates session will be in St Canice’s Hall on Wednesday April 30, 8pm.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs Eilish Lalor, Borris in Ossory on the death of her mother, the late Mrs Elizabeth (Lil) Dwyer, Broomfields, Donard, Co Wicklow. Her death took place on Thursday April 10 at Naas General Hospital. Her remains reposed at her residence until removal on Saturday to the Church of The Most Holy Trinity, Donard. Following Funeral Mass on Sunday burial took place in the adjoining Churchyard.
The late Elizabeth, who was predeceased by her husband, the late Edward Dwyer, is deeply regretted by her family Mary, Esther, Tommy, Trish, Phil, Eilish, Eamon and Anita, her sister Esther, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

This annual event commemorates the late Joseph Thompson, Borris in Ossory, a well-known billiard player, sponsored by his family. MICHEAL DOOLEY MEMORIAL CARD GAME
The annual memorial card game in honour of the late Micheal Dooley will take place this Thursday night April 24 at 9pm. Micheal was Treasurer of the club for many years and started the Progressive 25 Drive game in the club. It is hoped to have a good turnout.

KILLADOOLEY NS RUN
Killadooley NS Parents Council will hold a Family 5km / 10km Fun Run and Field Day on Sunday June 15. Training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights for eight weeks. €2.50 per night or €30 for the eight weeks. All fitness levels welcome. The club is open for Summer from 8 to 10 on Monday and Wednesday nights. A great time for new members to try the game out with a view to full membership in September. Just come along to the new school hall. Open to over 18s.
Borris-In-Ossory Youth Club are holding a public meeting in St Josephs School PE Hall on Thursday April 24 at 8pm,to discuss the possibility of building a Community Sports and Leisure Hall. The club feel the need is there for such a hall because there is none adequate enough in the area to play indoor games, for concerts, dinner dances, parties, meetings etc. This meeting is open to all people, groups and cubs.
