OSSORY CYCLING CLUB
Ossory Cycling Club will hold the 100k and 50k tours on Sunday May 4. Starting at the local GAA club house at 10am and 11am. Entry fee €25 both events, €20 with cycling Ireland licence.
A great bingo is held every Tuesday night at 8.30 in the Rathdowney Community Centre.
Your support would be greatly appreciated. Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.
The Donaghmore Workhouse and Agricultural Museum is open Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm. Come and see for yourself what life was like in a real workhouse. Group tours are also very welcome here, if you wish to book a group tour please ring Trevor on 086 829 6685.

The results of the Smithwick’s Cup fishing Competition held last Sunday are as follows: junior, 3rd Adam Loughman 705g, 2nd Dale Carroll 825g, 1st Brian Brophy 1345g.
Senior, 3rd Nicky Meagher 850g, 2nd John Hogan 990g, 1st Dave Moore 1745g. Congratulations to all.
The next fishing competition will be held on Sunday April 27 and annual draw will be held afterwards.
TEMPLE STREET CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
The Irish Route 66ers motorcyclists will be having a preparation day in the Outlet centre Rathdowney on Sunday April 27 from 11 - 2pm.
This month’s book is Red Sky in Morning by Paul Lynch, the next meeting in on Monday 28 April, in the library at 8pm.
IRISH GIRL GUIDES
The guides started in Ireland in 1911 and the Rathdowney Guides opened in 1984 and are celebrating 30 years.
To commemorate this occasion we are hosting a Gang Show (variety concert) on Saturday April 26 at 3p.m in the Rathdowney Community Centre.
We would like to invite anyone involved as a leader or member in the past to join us for a fun afternoon.
PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
The group meets on Friday mornings 10-12 in the Marion Centre. All welcome parents and minders with children from new born to pre-school.

Clough Ballacolla GAA are holding a golf classic in Rathdowney Golf Club on Saturday May 3. Team of four (men/ ladies/mixed) €100. Tee times 8 to 12.50 and 2.30 to 4.30.
Presentation in Mary’s Bar Clough at 9pm and prizes will include four All Ireland tickets.
